PETER SOM PERFECTION.

I must have the collar and fur vest for the frigid weather of January! If the jacket and collar seem a little difficult to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe don't dispair! Try the collar with black skinny jeans, Alexander Wangs new peep toe lace up boots (seen in Vogue) and this seasons popular military jacket. The washed green of the jacket will really make the pinkish/purple of the collar pop! For the vest, just because Som shows it with a skirt doesn't mean it needs to be fancy. (See: Wild Things, older post) Pair it with a fun embellished skirt from Prada or ripped boyfriend jeans and tan Converse.

SWEET MASHUP. (pop culture)

GOSSIP GAL
Jessica Szohr is on the cover of the new issue of Teen Vogue, at first you may release a sigh of dissapointment like moi when I first saw it. Yet another Gossip Girl, that makes 4 this year (Blake, Taylor, Leighton, Jessica). However Jessica Szohr who plays Vanessa happens to be my favorite of the gossip girls, her bohemian style is refreshing next to Leighton Meesters characters (Blaire Waldorf)constant bows and headbands.

GOING GAGA
Check out this picture of Lady Gaga before she was blonde in photos from Wmagazine.com...I think I prefer the blonde!

TOTAL ECPLISE OF THE HEART
Finally...I've already seen Twilight six times and New Moon three times, I'm ready for Eclipse (my favorite from the saga) to premiere! Here's a still from the movie I found on TeenVogue.com!

WOODY ALLEN-EVAN RACHEL WOOD
Now on DVD, Woody Allen's movie Whatever Works starring Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm on HBO) and Evan Rachel Wood (Across the Universe).

Love her style! (Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci)

BE MY BIG SCREEN VALENTINE
Coming soon "A Love Story. More or Less" or Valentines Day. With an allstar cast including actors/actresses such as Jessica Beil, Bradley Cooper, Emma Roberts, Anne Hathway, Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Taylor Swift, Patrick Dempsey, Taylor Lautner, etc..it seems like it's going to be an outstanding movie. However, when I saw the preview I couldn't help but feel like I had seen it before. Then I realized that the movie reminded me of Love Actually and He's Just Not that Into You. Hopefully it will be able to stand out in a sea of romantic comedies.

B.I.T.C.H.

THE PLASTICINES literally rock. I first saw them featured in Nylon Magazine, numerous times. Then in Teen Vogue and eventually on Gossip Girl. After their multiple performances on the show I decided to break down and listen to some of their songs. As soon as I did..I fell in love!!! It all started with the Barcelona music video; Marc Jacobs boots and tights. The clothes were standouts but the music held its own. Though Barcelona started out harsh, the chorus is smooth and addictive. Not to mention the bands style keeps you coming back for more. The four bandmates (Katty, Marine, Louise, Anaa) sound resembles Blondie ( Blondie song: Call Me) but then they're not all 70's rock and not all pop either. It's really hard to place a genre on the group but whatever their sound is I know I am down.
SONGS;
I Am Down, Barcelona, Bitch, Loser, Lost in Translation, Mister Driver, I Could Rob You

HOLMES.

Insanely enticing, endlessly mysterious, deviliciously intelligent; all qualities Sherlock Holmes possesses. Mystery is always alluring and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout. The sleuthing of Sherlock is perfectly mixed with a dark humor provided by Adler (McAdams), and Watson (Law). The movie starts with Robert Downey Jr. running the rainy cobblestone streets of London, seeking Lord Blackwood (the movies villain). Although most characters believe Blackwood to posess dark magic, practical Holmes knows there must be another explanation. In my humble opinion Downey Jr. was born to play Holmes and Law is perfect as his companion. The movie is absolutely exhilirating and the stormy sky of London is a perfectly fitting background for the films theme. If you didn't see Sherlock Holmes as your christmas day movie I strongly suggest you make a news years resolution to see it!

^^the costumes really add character to the movie as well!

PIRATE RADIO.

(January Jones)
Pirate Radio was by far the best movie I've seen this year! Even though I'm only a teenage girl, it completelly killed Harry Potter and was a million times better than New Moon. Not only was the playlist in the movie amazing (The Kinks, Duffy, The Who, Cat Stevens) but the fashion was also enchanting. The colors of the mini dresses, the bright tights...all a la Twiggy! The piece that absolutely stole the show however was January Jones's wedding dress. Even though everyone I know including myself probablly dreams of a big white dress on their special day, this seriously made me reconsider. The tights with the dress and the embellishments were perfect! I have to say to director Richard Curtis, that the movie was entertaining throughout and was a total treat!
